Welcome.
Call me Siteri. I’m a child of the Most High God. I’m saved and redeemed by the life, death and resurrection of Yeshua Hamashiach – Jesus Christ – my Lord and Saviour. In other words, I’m a Christian.
Now, you might disagree, but I’ve found that being a Christian isn’t easy. I haven’t found it easy to live faithfully to the teachings of the Bible. Or to be obedient to the voice and direction of the Holy Spirit of the living God.
How do you live out your faith? How do you witness to others about Jesus Christ?
I am grateful that the LORD opened up this way for me, a way where I can write down, articulate and reflect on this life of faith, things learned along the way, while trying to follow the example and the commandments Jesus laid down as given in the Holy Bible.
‘This is not a work of scholarship. I am no Hebraist, no higher critic, no ancient historian, no archaeologist. I write for the unlearned about things in which I am unlearned myself.’
– C. S. Lewis, Reflections on the Psalms
I’m Fijian and I live in a small village with my wonderful family, including my hard-working ever-patient mother, two younger siblings, a sibling-in-law, two spirited nieces, three lively nephews, a cousin, two cousins-in-law, a voracious cat, and a dog that likes to invite its stray pals over.
Reading is one of my favourite ways to learn. Apart from the Bible, works by authors like E. M. Bounds, Agatha Christie, Dr Thomas Horn, C. S. Lewis, Catherine Marshall, Andrew Murray, Ellis Peters, Ian Rankin, A. W. Tozer, and Philip Yancey, are among my top-picks. The anthology of Christian poetry, ‘A Touch of Flame‘ re-ignited my love for the genre and my collection of poetry books now include works from diverse authors.

Photography, coupled with walking, helps me to slow down and notice my surroundings. I use my own photographs in my blog posts, along with images from Kaboompics, Pexels, and Pixabay. I format the images on Canva; click here to start your own Canva design.
From our backyard: Black and white photographs I took of some of God’s natural wonders that inhabit our backyard.
I’m a chess enthusiast and Fischer and Kasparov remain – to me at least – the greatest chess players of all time; I hope to one day win against the bots.
Journaling, especially with a hot cup of black Ceylon tea, and the soothing melodies of Chopin’s Nocturne op 9 No 2 or Debussy’s Clair de Lune in the background, and prayer-journaling during my Bible study time help me find peace and clarity.

Thank you for visiting. May the Grace of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ be with you always.
You are my hiding place;
You shall preserve me from trouble;
You shall surround me with songs of deliverance.
