Welcome to Singular Faith!

Bula Vinaka, I’m Siteri! I’m a Christian spinster, a wild introvert, an aunt, and a writer.

Singular Faith is where I reflect on my life of faith, singleness and quiet pursuit of intimacy with God.

I live with my family in a small village by the Nadi River in the Fiji Islands. I enjoy reading biographies of long-ago Christian missionaries and autobiographies, essays, poems, articles and books on prayer. Pottering around our garden and strolling to the river helps me unwind and reconnect with nature.

God is looking for true spirit-filled believers and followers who pursue His heart rather than His blessings.

I believe in

The One True God, Jehovah, creator of worlds and everything and everyone in it, Who sent His Son, Yeshua Hamashiach – Jesus Christ – to live on earth as a man, died on the cross of Calvary so that all who believe in Him shall be saved from sin, death, and the grave. I believe that Almighty God sent His Holy Spirit to live in and direct everyone who accepts Yeshua as Lord and Saviour. I believe that the Scriptures are God-inspired and God-breathed.

I enjoy

Books: Christian inspirational, Bible commentaries, travel essays, memoirs, other non-fiction works; poetry, and the occasional mysteries and thrillers. Photography: Nature, landscape, street, black and white. Writing: Diary and journaling, Bible journaling, letters, postcards. Chess games with bots. Being in nature and daydreaming about my ideal garden.

Our journeys are different. Hopefully, we all live our lives the way God intended us to.

Becoming a Christian is a serious life-changing decision. It begins with admitting that you can’t go on the way you’re doing.

The first step is that you humble yourself, admit and confess that you believe in God, believe all that the Scriptures, the Holy Bible, says about Him, and you receive His salvation, that is, Yeshua Hamashiach, Jesus Christ, as your one true Lord and Saviour.

  • Pray a simple prayer like this with a believing heart. You might not feel different right away, but you’ve allowed God to work in you, and He will. Pray something like this, ‘Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, I admit and confess that I am a sinner, and I need you to forgive me of all my sins. I believe You can and will forgive me of my sins, and I receive Your forgiveness now. Please wash and renew my heart, mind and soul. I renounce all of my sins. In Jesus’s name, I pray this. Amen.’
  • Get a copy of the Holy Bible and begin to read it. Always read the Bible with the expectation that God will speak to you through the words you read. Ask God to direct you to a passage to read. Read through my Bible study articles to get you started.
  • Pray for God’s guidance to direct you to a Bible-believing and Bible-following church. Fellowship with other believers and ask for help if you’re feeling stuck.
