An introvert pursuing deeper intimacy with God!

Welcome, fellow sojourner!
As a fellow introvert, I know how difficult it can be to find our way through the loud, glaring episodes of life. I understand that we prefer silence and solitude. And it can be hard to find our place in a society filled with extroverts. Especially when we know that we’re called to witness for the Kingdom of God. And we’re not all preachers or ‘frontliners’, those capable of going up to a room full of people and speak.

God is looking for true spirit-filled believers and followers who pursue His heart rather than His blessings. Be one.

A bit about me
Bula Vinaka, I’m Siteri, and I’m a Christian spinster, wild introvert, aunt, and writer. I live with my family in a small village by the Nadi River in the Fiji Islands.

Who I believe in
I believe in the one true God, Jehovah, the Creator of all worlds and everything in them. I believe God sent His Son, Yeshua Hamashiach (Jesus Christ), to be born of a virgin, live on earth as a man, and die on the cross at Calvary so that all who believe in Him may be saved from sin, death, and the grave. I believe God sent His Holy Spirit to dwell in and guide everyone who accepts Yeshua as Lord and Savior. And I believe that the Scriptures are divinely inspired and breathed by God.
Some of my favourite things
Barefoot walks along the banks of the Nadi River, the feel of the soil beneath my feet, the flash of butterfly wings in the sun. Lingering in my grandmother’s garden, smelling the flowers she planted when she was alive.

My first camera was a film camera one of my aunts gifted me when I was fifteen. I photographed my favourite people, scenes and things. All my pocket money went to developing the film and buying new rolls. Even though I lost the camera, my love of photography remains.

Books are my doors to knowledge and adventure. I read and collect Christian literature, Brother Cadfael books by Ellis Peters and anything by Agatha Christie. I’ve grown to like Edinburgh, a city I’ve never visited, through Ian Rankin’s Rebus books.
Memoirs and poetry help me fill up the empty spaces.

Our journeys are different. Hopefully, we all live our lives the way God intended us to.

How Do I Become A Christian?
Becoming a Christian is a serious, life-changing decision. It begins with admitting that you can’t continue doing things the way you’re doing them.
The first step is to humble yourself, admit and confess that you believe in God, believe all that the Scriptures, the Holy Bible, say about Him, and you receive His salvation, that is, Yeshua Hamashiach, Jesus Christ, as your one true Lord and Saviour.
- Pray a simple prayer like this with a believing heart. You might not feel different right away, but you’ve allowed God to work in you, and He will. Pray something like this, ‘Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, I admit and confess that I am a sinner, and I need You to forgive me of all my sins. I believe You can and will forgive me, forgive all the sins I’ve committed. Please wash and renew my heart, mind and soul. I renounce all of my sins, and I receive Your forgiveness now. In Jesus’ name, I pray this. Amen.’
- Get a copy of the Holy Bible and begin to read it. I recommend you get a copy of the Bible translation that is easy for you to understand. First, ask God to guide you to the correct translation and to understand His Word! Always read the Bible expecting God to speak to you through the words you read. Ask God to direct you to a passage to read. I suggest starting with the Book of John – read it silently and then out loud.
- Pray for God’s guidance to direct you to a Bible-believing and Bible-following church. Fellowship with other believers and ask for help if you’re feeling stuck.
- Continue to pray daily, morning, noon and night, and each time you need God’s help! Never stop praying!
You’ll find that as you continue to pray to God, speak to Him, share with Him everything about your life, and read the Bible daily, His voice will get clearer in your spirit and soul, and He will direct you each day.
May Almighty God bless you in your journey to deeper intimacy with Him. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
