Why Pray for the Muslims You Know

I attended a Muslim school from form 3 to 6. At the time, praying for my Muslim classmates or any other classmates didn’t even factor in my world, I was far too busy trying to pass Maths.

But now as an adult, knowing what I know of God, Christianity, and Salvation and with Ramadam approaching I am including my former Muslim classmates in my prayer.

I’m praying for them because I grew up with them. They were part of some of my teenage years. Sure, I only saw them during the eight hours we spent in school together each weekday but still, they were part of my life back then. More than that, I feel called by God to pray for them.

My Prayer Plan

I’m planning to do this – how to action my prayer plan during Ramadan.

I’ve struggled with prayer now I always begin by praying for myself first. If I don’t pray for my relationship with God, all my other relationships fall flat and short.

And I always follow the Praise, Repent, Ask and Yield method of prayer. It gives me a step to follow and calms my mind to let go of all the thoughts spinning in my head.

Take it one step further and engage in spiritual warfare prayer. You can also pray this to break soul ties with anyone you’re praying for.

Like I already do for myself and my family, I will write down some of my prayers in my diary. Writing my prayers helps me when I can’t find the right words.

For You

You and I, as believers and followers of Yeshua Hamashiach – Jesus Christ – know that it’s God’s will that everyone is saved. We are all called to pray for others. During Ramadan, I encourage you to include any Muslims you know in your prayers.
