The Miracle In The Middle Of The Lake — Thoughts on John 6

You decide to do something or go somewhere; maybe it’s not a wise decision, or maybe you haven’t thought it through, yet you take the step and find yourself in trouble. Yeshua shows up and offers help. The situation, the whole thing, scares you, but Yeshua assures you of His trustworthiness. You accept His help, and suddenly, there are no more troubles, and you’re where you’re supposed to be.
Sounds typical, doesn’t it? It’s replayed over and over again in our lives only with different scenes, situations and characters. Here’s John’s account of the disciples’s experience.

I get like that sometimes — frightened of Yeshua’s approach especially when I’m not where I’m supposed to be. Sometimes Yeshua’s approach is the storm. Sometimes I can’t see Him, I don’t recognize Him because my mind is on the gale-force winds and rough seas. Sometimes He has to remind me of Who He is to get my attention. Only when I’m willing to let Him in then I find that He’s the calm centre. He’s my haven. In Him is where I’m supposed to be.

Pray with me

Father God, Thank You for being our Comforter and our strength! Guide us always in Your Truth! In Yeshua, we pray this. Amen.
